One Monday morning when staff members at the Humane Society of South Central Michigan arrived at work, they found a pink storage bin at the front door. Inside was a t-shirt, a pair of dress pants, an opened can of cat food, ten large daddy long legs, and a tiny tortishell kitten. She was about five-weeks-old, and she had an upper respiratory infection. The kitten, who was named Harper, received the veterinary care and placed into a foster home. When she’s big enough, she will be spayed and made available for adoption.
