A small kitten was found on the side of the road in a rural area of Calhoun County. She was covered in what appeared to be a flammable oily substance and had a small wound, possibly a burn, on her head. She was scared, and needed medical care right away. The kitten was brought the kitten to the Humane Society of South Central Michigan and named Emmy. Emmy immediately received emergency veterinary care where she was examined and quickly cleaned up. Thankfully, they discovered that Emmy had been rescued just in time and had thankfully not ingested any of the dangerous substance she was covered in. As she was still much too small to be spayed, Emmy went to stay with a super-foster family. When Emmy was big enough, she came back to the shelter and was spayed. She is now available for adoption. Emmy is incredibly sweet. She loves to cuddle and give kisses. She is also a typical kitten and is very playful! Everyone who meets her falls in love right away.
